Bismarck, ND – Primacy Strategy Group (PSG) announced the addition of Terry Effertz to its government relations team, where she will serve as one of the firm’s regional government relations managers.
“PSG continues to expand its reach in the Midwest, and North Dakota has been at the genesis of our core business lines and services to our clients,” said Ryan Kelly CEO of PSG, “Terry Effertz will be a great addition to our team of highly skilled government relations and public affairs professionals, working to provide clients with the innovative solutions and insightful guidance they need inside and outside the Capitol.”
Effertz served as a law clerk for North Dakota Supreme Court Justice Daniel Crothers, where she assisted the Justice in drafting opinions, composing bench memos, completing legal research and applied logic and precedent to novel legal issues. Prior to that, Effertz attended the University of North Dakota School of Law and received her Juris Doctorate in May 2018. During law school, she was involved in Moot Court, Student Trial Lawyers Association, Law Review, and various national organizations. In addition, Effertz interned for the North Dakota Attorney General’s office and North Dakota Legislative Council.
Prior to joining Primacy Strategy Group, Effertz was an associate attorney with Larson Latham Huettl LLP. Effertz’s bio can be found on the PSG website.
“I’m honored to be joining one of the most respected and established government relations and public affairs companies in North Dakota,” said Effertz, “PSG’s diverse client base, authentic approach to relationships, as well as their regional and national growth strategy are just a few of the reasons I’m excited to add my passion and skills to the firm’s efforts.”
In addition to joining the PSG government relations team, Effertz, an attorney licensed and based in North Dakota, will also be an associate at Lockridge Grindal Nauen P.L.L.P., a fifty percent owner of the Primacy Strategy Group.
Rebecca Kanninen, Senior Vice President of PSG said, “As our business and client portfolio grows, Terry’s knowledge of the legislative process, the judicial and executive branches, will help us to better serve our client base in North Dakota and throughout the region.”
The Effertz announcement is in addition to the recent merger of the PSG Washington, D.C. offices announced earlier this month, fortifying Primacy Strategy Group as a full-service government relations and public affairs firm. The PSG team offers a full spectrum of services for its clients which includes association management and coalition building, grassroots and grasstops mobilization, regulatory affairs expertise at the federal, state and local levels, as well as procurement services. PSG also provides clients with expanded public affairs and communications services, including strategic communications planning, media relations, social and digital media strategies, crisis communications, and reputation management.
