Calvin Benson is a member of the State and Local Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs team at the Primacy Strategy Group. Calvin comes to us with a background in local, state, and federal public policy. Prior to joining Primacy Strategy Group Calvin worked as a staffer for U.S. Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach (R-MN) doing district outreach and constituent advocacy focusing on agriculture issues and natural disaster relief. From 2019- 2020 he worked for the City of Starbuck managing day to day operations of city as well as managing city owned businesses. Calvin also oversaw the 2020 Complete Streets Project, a multimillion dollar reconstruction of city’s infrastructure.

Mr. Benson holds a BS in Business Management from North Dakota State University (NDSU) and has been involved in public policy for over a decade. Calvin is an avid NDSU Bison football fan.
